The client needed a Clothing Product photographer to update and develop a new targeted photography style for corporate clothing to improve conversion of sales from specialist areas in the clothing industry and planned to send direct marketing to buyers. The marketing material in the form of a catalogue would mean the photographs would need to be cost effective in terms of volume but giving them a bespoke look and keep within branding guidelines.
The brief for the photographer was to make the detail and colour of the Clothing products as good as their main leading competitors but without copying photography style, in fact they wanted to standout in there own rights. The photographer needed to come up with signature style for the product photography that would give a professional look whist not taking away from how the product looked and keeping an organic not too touched up feel.
With Clothing product photography you can afford to be a little more adventurous with lighting, but lighting must be complimentary to the products details, texture and flatter the model. A creative style of photography Vs volume can be a difficult compromise but I was able to apply a signature style for the client and repeat the lighting for each shoot changing background colour depending on targeted marketing.
